Leadership Program FAQ

What is the Leadership Program?

The complete Leadership Program will consist of 4 modules, each 4 weeks in length with a participant commitment of   3 hours/week (12 hours/module), including pre-work and a weekly live 2-hour session. The modules are:

  1. Module 1 - Introduction: Leadership and CPD

  2. Module 2 - Essential Leadership Communication Skills 

  3. Module 3 - Building Teams, Mentorship and Coaching 

  4. Module 4 - Creating a Learning Organization and Facilitating Change

Who should participate?

This global leadership program is targeted at individuals and teams of medical educators from across the globe from academia, industry (MedTech/pharma), government, professional medical education institutions/organizations/agencies, NGOs; target learners are those in leadership roles responsible for driving transformational change in medical learning and continuing professional development (CPD).

What is the time commitment for the Leadership Program?

The full leadership program will take 48 hours, over the course of 12 months. Each of the four (4) modules requires twelve (12) hours of time comprised of three (3) hours per week for 4 weeks (1 hour for asynchronous pre-work plus a 2-hour live, facilitator-led session via Zoom). 

How much is the Leadership Program?

The Leadership Program modules are all free to all GAME members. 

Modules 2-4 will be available at the following per module pricing.*

  • $50 – non-GAME members

  • $10 – students/residents of low-income countries (LIC)

 

*An abbreviated review of Module 1 & 2 will be available for all registrants of Module 3 to ensure continuity in the leadership program. 

Do I need to participate in all four (4) modules?

While participation is encouraged in the full leadership program, the modules will be available individually. Module 1 is a required prerequisite for any additional module and can be completed by watching the summary videos.

What is covered in Module 2?

Module 2 will focus on increasing your ability to:

​1.    Identify the different types of communication
2.    List the traits of an effective communicator
3.    Describe the barriers to communicating
4.    Identify how to monitor and improve your communication skills
5.    Encourage a culture of feedback

When is Module 2?

The first four-week module will start the week of May 23, 2022 with the weekly live sessions via Zoom on Wednesday, May 25, June 1, June 8 and June 15, 2022.

What is covered in Module 3?

Module 3 will focus on increasing your ability to:

  1. Apply the principles of high-performing teams​    

  2. Act in concordance with team ethics and values to accomplish a mission

  3. Avoid situations that lead to team dysfunction

  4. Sustain a positive focus on the career growth of team members via applying the principles of coaching and mentorship

When is Module 3?

The first four-week module will start the week of September 11, 2022 with the weekly live sessions via Zoom on Wednesday, September 14, 21, 28 and October 5, 2022.

 

​All Wednesday weekly live 2-hour sessions are offered at 2pm CET.

Will I earn a certificate?

All participants will be awarded a certificate of participation at the conclusion of each module.
