Andrea Zimmerman, EdD serves as the Senior Director of Accreditation and Compliance at HMP Global, where she oversees accreditations with Joint Accreditation with Commendation, Council on Podiatric Medical Education, California Board of Registered Nursing, Florida Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), New York MFT, California MFT, National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, National Board for Certified Counselors, among many activity-based approvals, for over 900 activities annually.

Dr. Zimmerman has worked in higher and continuing education since 2007 to provide engaging learning opportunities to clinicians and biomedical scientists, bridging the gap between bench and bedside. She earned an EdD in higher education administration from Northeastern University where her doctoral research focused how biomedical scientists navigate career paths. Her professional volunteer activities have included Joint Accreditation surveyor, ACEhp Excellence in Educational Design Award Committee, PLOS ONE and SN Social Sciences peer reviewer, and faculty for the Alliance Career Pathways Series. Outside of work, she spends much of her time providing therapeutic foster care and volunteers with several organizations in her community.
